My name in Japanese!

November 26, 2006

Japanese Flag

I just did one of those completely inaccurate name generators. In Japanese.

Apparently, my name in Japanese is ‘Masahiro.’ Strangely, my mates, Matthew’s name is ‘Nakamura.’ Hiro Nakamura is in Heroes!

Check out the name generator here

Your name in Japanese is the same as it is in English, but this makes it so much cooler. Big shout out to Takumi and Nakamura.

See ya,

Masahiro.

Tenacious D

Yesterday I watched ‘The Pick of Destiny’, a film which stars one of my favourite bands, Tenacious D. The film was extremely good, it was a shame that they didn’t play songs such as Wonderboy, or Tribute, but there were a whole other set of songs that I hadn’t heard before.

I have been looking forward to this movie for a few months now, it looked awesome from what I had seen, and it was awesome.

A lot of people who starred in the film were also in the tv show. The original actor who played Lee was there to play him again, and also The Announcer was played by the same guy in the tv show. That was nice to see. There were some appearances by some pretty good musicians. Meat Loaf played Jack Blacks father, and Dave Grohl played The Devil.

The film is basically about Tenacious D and their quest to find ‘The Pick of Destiny’ which they believe has special powers. Throughout the ages, people have used the pick and have been amazing musicians. They go to find it. Will they get it and become the greatest band in the world?

It was sorta like Wayne’s World, another great movie.

Casino Royale

Casino Royale

I just saw Casino Royale tonight, and I felt totally compelled to blog it! Not really, just came on my pc and had nothing better to do.

So how does Daniel Craig fare? I think he did extremely well, and made a good James Bond.

I would recommend the film to anyone. It was more held together than others I think.

It’s one of the best so far, i’m not sure which Bond is my favourite. Action throughout in this one.

Go watch it.

Heroes on tonight!

Heroes

Heroes is on tonight in the USA, it looks pretty good, episode 9 – Homecoming. It looks like a proper bloodbath!

I will watch it tomorrow, impossible to get it today.

Check out The Heroes Chronicles.

Lost on Sky

Lost -Season 3

Lost is starting on Sky in 30 minutes!! I am looking forward to it.

I’ve seen the first six episodes of Season 3 already, but I like to watch them again. It keeps me refreshed on what happens!

If you haven’t seen Lost before, I suggest you do! It’s an amazing show, all three seasons have been very good so far.

Check out The Lost Journal too, I write for it, it’s very good, if I do say so myself.

Football

Norwich City - Darren Huckerby

I watched the derby between my home team, Norwich City and Ipswich town today. We were doing alright, 1-0 up but then at around the 35th minute the sinked one in our net.

After half time Danny Haynes came on and scored two more goals. We lost 3-1.

Chadwick scored our only goal. It was his debut and he was on loan. He had to go to hospital because he was taken out by an Ipswich player.

Norwich is now 12th in the league table, Ipswich are 13th. It’s quite disappointing really, our players have the ability to play at premiership level, they just never do and often make silly mistakes.

Our new manager, Peter Grant hasn’t done too bad so far, better than Nigel Worthington.

The A-Team Movie?

November 19, 2006

The A-Team

I was just looking over at imdb and it says that ‘The A-Team’ movie is in production. I had no idea that a movie was being made, but it looks like there is going to be one. Mr T is going to be in it, it lists him as ‘The Mechanic’. I remember he always turned cars into armoured machine gun toting beasts, but whether he will be B.A. Baracas or not I am not sure.

Check out the IMDB page here.

The Da Vinci Code

November 19, 2006

The Da Vinci Code

I watched The Da Vinci Code yesterday. I’ve seen it before, but I have the DVD so I decided to watch it again.

It isn’t too bad on it’s own, but it is a bit of a disappointment if you have read the book, which I have. I’m sure that a lot of people have heard of The Da Vinci Code, but if you haven’t read the book, I recommend that you do, it’s very interesting. Quite believable too, it’s a very good conspiracy theory.

The movie stars Tom Hanks (Apollo 13, Forrest Gump) and Audrey Tautou (Amelie). It’s very long, around 2hr 20mins, but still cuts quite a bit out from the book.

Dan Brown, the writer of ‘The Da Vinci Code’, also wrote a book called ‘Angels and Demons’, which is also being made into a movie.

Revenge.

I just started playing Burnout Revenge today. I got it for Christmas last year, but didn’t take to it as much because it lacked my favourite thing, Road Rage in single player mode. So I started playing it again, I might try to complete it, get good at it so I can brag about that too!

I got 91 takedowns in Burnout 3 today. Not my best but got into the top 5, placed at number 3. If you want a decent Burnout game, I suggest Burnout 3: Takedown. It’s by far the best out of the four.

One game that I am looking forward to is Superman Returns. It doesn’t look too bad, I like the idea of flight, pretty cool. Plus, you can fly at around 800 miles per hour I hear. Check out a video of it below.

I like free-roaming games. Spider-Man 2 is one of my favourite games, and the new Superman Returns game has this too so I think it doesn’t look too bad. I’m no hardcore gamer anymore, games I play are limited to consoles now.
